| Location: Salt Lake City,,Ut,United States Member Since: Mar 26, 2012 Gender: Female Goal Type: 5 K Finish Running Accomplishments: I've run a few 5k's, 10k's and one 8k. Those have been in the last few years. I began walking seriously about 5 years ago and did really well, walking almost daily at least 3 or 4 miles and 6 miles once a week. I have been active my entire life, playing tennis and teaching aerobics when I was younger. But have slowed down the last few months. Short-Term Running Goals: I would like to run a couple of 10k's and 5k's the summer of 2012. I want to do these with my family. I would like to run the 5k's in under 32 minutes. Long-Term Running Goals: To keep moving, walking and running 5-6 days a week. Personal: I'm a mother of 5. Grandmother of 2. Married!!! Acorn is my motivation for joining the blog. | | I walk/run with a friend of mine on Tuesday mornings. We have a 3 mile route that includes a pretty steep hill. We run about 1/2 mile to the hill. Walk up the hill as fast as possible, then we catch our breath and begin to run for about a mile. Then we walk down a short hill and run to the finish. I love that run because we also talk about all our frustrations and then they are gone!!! That's my report!!!! PS I love exclamation points!!!! | |
| | I was hoping to walk today after my meetings and before cooking class, but I got home too late, so I got on the elliptical at 9:55 and did a so so workout but got some miles in. Then I stretched for 15 minutes. My SI nerve is giving me fits today. But I just worked through it. Stretching helps and I start with a PT next week to help strengthen my core. I am glad to be able to post something today, and I made Honey-lime chicken Enchiladas in cooking class. It was a fun day. | |
| | This morning I ran the 3 mile route with my friend. We jogged the whole thing except for the hill!! It was great weather. 37 degrees when we started out!! We ran for 40 minutes so I thought that was pretty good for me. | |

Ran the 5k route this morning that has a hard hile. Just walked the hill. I hope to get another walk in later today. Tonight--Power walked with Mark for 20 minutes to help digest dinner!!! | |

Ran three miles this morning with a friend. (Walked the hill of course) Cold. Should have worn an extra layer. Tonight did a quick 2 miles on the Elliptical. Hot. Should have opened the window. |
